Former Senegal forward Niasse, who netted twelve scores in sixty-five top-flight games for the Toffees and even now attends their matches at Goodison Park, also made his first appearance against Collegiate OB - who are located in the city and wear an Everton training kit as their uniform.

"My mate Stephen Ireland said 'come and play, it's enjoyable'," commented Niasse.

"After that he told me we were playing a side from the city and the shock I had when I saw them wearing Blue kits - I say this is wrong for me!

"It's a bit different but then, I enjoy running and just move inside - I'm not defending that much," he said.

"I warn my defender 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to continue attacking.

"That running is what I'm looking for. It's enjoyable."

'Surreal Experience

Along with Cisse's 6 scores on debut, Ireland has netted eight in 3 appearances for the side, while Boyd scored five on his debut appearance and Lescott, a defender by trade, scored a hat-trick in one match as a striker.

The team are top of the Premier Tier with 3 wins from three and a GD of +19.

Paul Barrow, 38, who plays on the flank for the opposition, faced ex- Latics full-back Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his young boy who Heskey was.

Figueroa has appeared at 2 global tournaments for his country, in as well as featuring in more than 200 top-flight games.

"It was going round like wildfire they had all these former top-flight players," remarked the player.

"I felt I was a little starstruck playing against him to be honest.

"Even Emile [Heskey] came on and he's has over 60 English appearances.

"We held our own for a good twenty mins but then we had a player sent off and it was tough.

"We really haven't stopped chatting about it - I was calling my mum and brother on the journey home.

"The opponents were all friendly, shaking our hands after the game - it was like facing a group of normal guys.

"Now we are eager for the second fixture."
