Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
